Seven random facts about me....

1. I totally adore Labradors... and would never have any other kind of dog/pet again....
2. The best place I have ever worked was Blackhawk Personnel
3. I hadn't eaten red meat for over 12 years until I was pregnant with my first son.
4. I HATE Cane Toads and since moving to Darwin I have become addicted and obsessed with their eradication ... and enjoy nothing more than hitting them with a cricket bat!!!
5. I have gone to hospital every 9 years for either major surgery or a major disease that have all been related to my heart.
6. I TICK.... yes...I really do....!! I have a stainless steal valve inserted in my aorta in my heart.... (That was done during my third operation.... at 18years.)
7. I am one half of Enchanted Scrapbooking.... a great little scrap pack online store... check it out!!!

Joshie's 2nd Birthday

Valentines Day in our house is not a day of romance these days (not that it ever was!!). These days it is JOSHIE'S BIRTHDAY.... and this year he turned 2

My baby is growing up and fast becoming a Big Boy..... which makes me sad as he has been such an adorable baby (except for his hissy fits.. hahaha) and I am sure that he is growing up twice as fast as Aidan ever did.... oh sob sob...

I have been busy scrapbooking lately... I am feeding the addiction as much as I can lately before I go into withdrawls when I return to uni at the end of this month... ahhhh.

Here are some recent layouts that I have completed... I have successfully combined our Enchanted Scrapbooking Fairy Fun Packs with the Chooks Scraps Cybercrop...

And this layout is for Chooks Survivor Challenge NO. 2 (cardstock only... NO patterned papers.. this was a challenge...I like my patterned papers!!!)

The Monsoon Has Aririved!!

It rained last weekend... NO it absolutely poured and poured..... And our backyard flooded.... With the pool overflowing, the runoff from the roof, the rain and the run-off from the two properties behind us our yard was quickly under a few inches of water...

And much to the delight of the boys and Ella....

They were to quick to get out there and enjoy the waterworks...

Gotta love the tropics!!!!

Now he really is a Big Boy

Aidan started school this week... he was so excited. We had driven past his new school, Driver Primary, on a number of occasions and he was overjoyed to finally walk into a classroom... and his teachers are Mrs Edgecombe and Ms Minoa.

After a long January of settling into live in the Top End I think both Aidan and I were relieved that the first day of school finally arrived... so much so that there were no tears, just a short "Bye Mum" after he sat down to do puzzles. So Joshie and I left and went to Playgroup out at Robertson Barracks...

Cane Toad Horror!!!

OHHH the DRAMA.....

IT RAN AFTER ME... IT REALLY DID CHASE ME!!! AND... I discovered I CAN SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We found this HUGE Cane Toad swimming in the Pool this morning.... And it simply had to go....

I had been told (by a very reliable source!!) that DETTOL KILLS CANE TOADS ... well that is true for small 'baby' cane toads but not this wopper!!!

Justin fished the blasted thing out by using a bucket... but it jumped out so I poored dettol on its back, and then it turned around and CHASED ME!!!! And I screamed.... Joshie screamed... and Ella tried to catch it... I was trying to run away, Joshie was trying to hide behind me, the cane toad kept coming for me... it was terrifying.....

Anyway... Dettol didn't work... But the Cricket Bat did... Justin wollopped it on the head, and then I did one for good measure... and then Justin picked it up with the Dogs POO tongs.... and put it in this plastic bag...

They are trully revolting.... Aidan is now practicing for the next Cane Toad....

So..... I hate Cane Toads even more now... Aidan is keenly awaiting the next one... and Justin just wishes he a video camera in his hands at the time... we would be $rich... after winning funniest home videos in 2008!!!
