ONE layout... and socialising!!

Our Cybercrop was very successful ... some wonderful layouts created... I only managed ONE... which is pretty bad... The weekend was busy, and I got a rare night out on Saturday night so I lost valuable scrapping time whilst I was out having a lovely night of gossip, wine and laughs...

This is my ONE and only layout... a layout.. of the wonderful and delighful Cockington Green... I just loved this place... and I am sure that this is going to be the first layout of many!!
And some pics from my night out on Saturday night... with the school mums.. We had a Girls Night In. Poppy managed to raise almost $800 for the wonderful cause.. and my thoughts were with my great friend Mel... she is dearly missed...

School Holidays are Over!!

School holidays have been and gone. This holidays we were rather busy... two short trips. Firstly to Canberra for Floriade and a catchup with a few friends, and on the second weekend we went up to Nelsons Bay to visit my brother and my mummy flew down from Queensland for the weekend. The weather wasn't wonderful but we still managed to get down to the Whale Festival in Nelson's Bay and the beach. Ella went too so she loved the water and the extra attention that extra kids paid her.
Nana hugs Joshie and Mathew

The kids & Ella

The family... including Ella (sort of) but missing Joshie... no idea where he got too??? Thought he was in the photo?

Now we are one busy family... I have started work full time now... after busily finding a new 'nice' daycare for my little boys to attend everyday that also opened before 8am... they are settling well (thank goodness) and after two days of work or school ... I am tired but enjoying it... it is nice being a part of a staff!!

Well that is all... Floriade photos will follow soon... and layouts with lots of pretty flowers finally... LOL ....

Busy Busy Busy

After not working for the past 10 months, I have been so tired working these past three weeks... and it isn't quite full time either... only 4 days a week... but by the weekend I am so tired... hopefully the more that I do it the more I cope!!! So as a result my scrapping has been a little neglected lately... still thinking about it everyday... and mojo is there... the energy stores are just a little depleted... Below is the one layout I have managed... and the creativity wasn't that great here either... But I did scrap a photo that had been troubling me for sometime...

This layout was done for the Enchanted Birthday Celebrations.... create a layout celebrating your birthday.... This is a photo taken on my birthday... Mathew is two days old.. and the boys came in to celebrate with me... a precious photo...

September Packs...

Our Gorgeous September packs have now been released... and they are just lovely.... they are selling fast... so visit http://www.enchantedscrapbooking.com.au/ and check them out....

And for our Cybercrop this month we have a Super Cybercrop Birthday pack ... for only $5... you get a little suprise pack to scrap for one of our challenges at our Cybercrop at the end of the month.... There is only a limited number so dont miss out....

And finally a little bit of scrapping was achieved last weekend... and this layout must be one of the quickest I have done... I had to use my Prima Fleur Vine for our Technique/Product Challenge and I am really delighted on how this layout turned out. Not much practice with doing Girly layouts...

Have a great rest of the week everyone... I have tomorrow off (yay) and I am looking forward to having a rest and spending time with my little man Joshie and baby man Mathew... Seeyou all soon...

August.... and it feels like Summer...

Wow... how fast is this month flying by... last weekend I rounded up my boys and sat them out on our shady verandah and took some photos ... they were very obliging and loved 'hamming' it up for the camera. Not one 'perfect' portrait photo... but many photos that perfectly illustrate how happy my boys are... and how cheeky!!!
And this is the layout that I created with these photos... but I think... no I am sure that there will be some more....
The weather has been glorious here this weekend... and today Georgia and I walked from Home to Clovelly and back again.. the hills almost did us in... but we made it home.. hope I can walk tomorrow... I am off for a three week stint teaching at a Sydney High School... good luck to me... I hope I can cope and dont get too tired...
Have a great week everyone... Happy Scrapping.

Busy Times & Cybercrop time...

This year seems to be hurrying by as fast possibly faster than any year before it... Now almost HALF way through August, it will be the end of the year before you know it and Christmas... my head is spinning thinking about it.
ON The SCRAPPING FRONT...
it has been a busy month at Enchanted. GREat little packs went out and I have managed to have a play with the packs and have created two layouts so far... and once i get a chance, I will do some more!!! I will display these for you all in my next post... perhaps tomorrow.. LOL after I have taken some photos.
This weekend at Enchanted we have our August Cybercrop... in tune with our theme for this month... in which we are celebrating COLOUR... we have lots of challenges that will brighten up this winter (mind you the weather overall these last few weeks in Sydney has been marvellous and one would not be a fool to think that Spring had already started!!!)

Enchanted Layouts....

A little late but I have finally got around to scrapping one of the Enchanted Fairy Fun Pack "It's a Jungle Out There' from June... I Loved this pack the little transparencies were just gorgeous, and the colours in this pack were divine... and I managed to get two layouts out of this pack!!
School holidays are coming to an end (yippee). Luckily throughout the school holidays the weather has been good and we have been able to keep busy in order to try and stop Aidan and Joshie from slaughtering each other. Honestly, I dont remember fighting with my brother like these two do. They have the perfect Love/Hate relationship...
The only other 'biggish' news we have here in the Voute household ... is Little Mathew started Daycare this last week... and he LOVED it.. was ever so happy to go off for the day, and he was Super Happy when he got home... but Tuesday night he was tired and fell asleep pretty early... My baby is growing up so fast... in a few days he will be 9 months... and when I think about it that seems unbelievable... where has all the time gone!!!
Until next time...

Enchanted Cybercrop Layouts...

Last weekend... we had the Enchanted Scrapbooking July Cybercrop... and here in Coogee we had a massive blackout all Friday night... so NO Scrapping or chatting for me that night... But over the course of the weekend I managed to get 2 of the 3 challenges completed...

This Layout was my go at Tracey's Blind Challenge... and I am very happy with this layout. This is the second time that I have attempted this photo... I didn't like my first attempt, hence the absence of that layout... but I am happy with this one.. and from a distance it looks like I have created a Huge D for Coogee Dolphins.. .and it was totally deliberate... NOT!!! LOL
And this second layout I did for Wendy's Guest Designer sketch challenge... It was a great sketch to interperate... and I am so glad that I 'finally' scrapped these pictures... finally matched them to some papers... and I just LOVE this layout... I love Joshies giggling face even though you cant see it properly... It so makes me smile. Mathew was about 5 weeks old here and these were probably some of the last photos we took in Darwin...
And this bottom photo I snagged the other night... Justin was playing with all 3 boys and I noticed them all dressed in RED... so I quickly grabbed my camera... what a perfect photo for a future layout!!! LOL
Thats all for now... more layouts to share soon...

A mega update & another Cybercrop!!!

It seems like such a long time since I updated this blog. Perhaps because I have been 'meaning to do it' for a week now???
We have been fairly busy, particuarly last Sunday when we had footy and a birthday party on in the same afternoon. I have managed to do a little scrapping. Have had a little bit of 'flu like symptoms' niggling at me... so the concentration span has been wanning...
But I am hoping to be ALL GOOD this weekend, not only are we busy socially - more footy events and matches, but also a BBQ) we are also having our July Cybercrop at Enchanted Scrapbooking... a little earlier this month... Tracey is jetsetting off again lucky devil.
This month at Enchanted Scrapbooking we are celebrating 'friendship' and as such our theme for our Cybercrop is Friendship... Lots of awesome challenges, our infamous bidding war, competitions, prizes, and friendly chitchat with all our Fairy Friends at Enchanted... should be fun.... Our Cybercrop advert... (if you post this pic on your blog, and let us know about it... you will be in the running to win a Mystery RAK)
A couple of layouts to share... I did this one for one our June Product/Technique challenge... using
And this one... cant remember when I actually printed out this very gorgeous pic of Joshie (taken almost 9 months ago in Darwin) but I found it and it blended wonderfully with these gorgeous papers... I had drawn this sketch from a layout I liked ages ago.. (sorry I cant remember who it was now... so if it looks familiar please let me know so I can credit you!!). Really happy with this layout... perhaps I should covertly scraplift more often???? LOL
And lastly some cute photos of the boys...
At Bathtime - Mathew is sitting up in the bath now... but still loves to lay down and splash about.

My little baby spunk... TOO COOL Mathew....
Sydney Park... last Thursday Joshie, Mathew and I AND Ella went to Sydney Park in Sydenham here in Sydney (LOL) with Sarah and Harry (Oliver, Harry's brother is in Aidans class... now Harry and Joshie are 'Best Friends'). I hadn't been there before but Sarah assured me that it was great... and it was. A awesome bike track for the kids, complete with TRAFFIC LIGHTS!!! and a great play park with monsterous slippery dips... Josh had a ball, Mathew enjoyed the sunshine and ELLA LOVED IT. It is also a DOG friendly park... so off the lead she could be and she could run free... and that she did... straight into the muddiest puddles right up until we were about to get into the car (take note of Ella's 2 toned look... the black labrador half is actually thick squelshy MUD!!!!!

A Cybercrop & Scrapping

Well after the dramas of the past couple of weeks life in the Voute household has gotten back to normal. So here's hoping that is the extent of our dramas this year!!!

This coming weekend we are having our June Winter Warmers Cybercrop at Enchanted Scrapbooking... we are really looking forward to it...there is lots happening, excellent challenges, our infamous Bidding War and a chance to become an Enchanted Guest Designer, in one of the most 'easiest' competitions EVER!!! So pop over to Enchanted Scrapbooking and check it out....

And this week I have managed to do some scrapping ... Finally!!!
I had wanted to scrap this photo for some time... and the Enchanted Scrapbooking June Picture inspiration challenge provided me enough inspiration through the colour scheme and the gorgeous quilt in the picture to create this layout... Very happy with this one and you just gotta love my black pea pod!!! LOL
This second layout has been created for the blogsite Scrap the Boys... Had to use a red, black and 'one other colour' layout. My other colour is obviously Blue (my favourite colour!!)
Well thanks for looking and I hope to see you all at the Enchanted Cybercrop this weekend...

We have a WINNER...

Our Slice of Life Competition has come to a close at Enchanted Scrapbooking... and to say the least it was an enormously hard to pick a winner.. were so many awesome enteries week after week... but we only had one Making Memories Slice so there could 'unfortuately' only be one winner... and the winner is KirstyP... every week her layouts were great... she interpreted the challenges excellently... and I would personally like to say....

Congratulations Kirsty

RSVP Virus...

After getting out of hospital last week Mathew was doing really well but then at the beginning of the week he started coughing and went down hill... so back to Emergency we went... and straight through to the doctors. He was put on oxygen as his oxygen satuation levels were well down... and then we were admitted... After a not so nice nasal test it was found that Mathew had the RSVP virus... a typically 'not bad' virus for older people... but one that loves knocking around infants and one that can weaken the lungs (so now we have to keep an eye on him in case he developes asthma in the future)... and for most of our stay Mathew was a sick little boy... BUT .... like all virus' he suddenly got better and one started wondering 'why' we were still there???

Well little man DIDN'T want any fluids so our stay was even longer... we were not going home until he started drinking again... little rat bag... Finally and Thankfully he decided that he was thirsty and started drinking ... right in front of the doctors (this made mummy very happy!!) and home we came... YAY.....

So I am behind with my scrapping...

At Enchanted ... our Slice of Life competition came to an end... WOW... some of the layouts the girls have done are wonderful... how a winner will be decided I have NO idea????

Cheerio..

hopefully some layouts to share next time...

Some Scrapping...

This Queens Birthday Long Weekend was pretty non-eventful... after our scare last week we decided to have a quiet weekend at home, especially as we are going away next weekend, we wanted to give Mathew a good opportunity to recover and get well... So the quiet weekend had me busy scrapping. I didn't get as much as wanted to done... but nevermind. Scrapping around 3 kids, one whom is sick, and a husband can be hard work, especially considering I have to work on the kitchen table... everything is constantly being packed away/gotten out/packed away... but I did manage to finish these two layouts... Both of which I am very happy with.

This layout is one of two layouts I managed with our Enchanted Fairy Fun Pack... Tweet Fairytale...
This layout I did for our June Product/Technique challenge... this challenge required us to get messy... using glimmermist or watered down paint... Had lots of fun and made messy.. in fact I stained the white bricks outside with the mist... Hubby isn't too happy about it... but I thought surely it would rain and wash it away... But NO the first weekend with NO rain... Typical!!!
Close up picture of the journalling... inspired by our nightly I LOVE You sleep tight messages after I have tucked the boys away... we are constantly trying to out do each other with amounts of how much we love each other....
Thanks for looking.

What a week...???

This past week has been busy... but not in the delightful kind of way you would prefer to be busy... Poor baby Mathew ended up in Hospital overnight....

He hadn't been 100% for some days and then Sunday night he screamed a lot of the night... and on Monday slept a lot of the day... THEN on Monday night... he screamed and cried MOST of the night and by morning was so exhausted he went into a very deep drowsy sleep... so it was time to take the little man to the doctors... After dropping the two boys at daycare and school I made the appointment. The doctor saw us promptly and then after listening to his lungs told me to take him to the hospital... so with the secret doctor code letter I set off... never expecting what was coming...

Upon arrival at the hospital the triage nurse checked Mathew out and noticed a few petiki-eye spots (** a minute spot.. not visible to an untrained unexpecting eye!!) and whisked him off through those emergency doors... By the time I got to the cubical there was a large number of doctors and nurses all surrounding him... putting a drip in, oxygen on, tube down nose... and searching for more of those petiki-eye spots... AS you can imagine I was a little taken aback!! Especially when they told me that they were looking and treating him with hardcore antibiotics for menigiccocal or meningitis... I was feeling a little terrible and a little overwhelmed... He never appeared THAT sick.. I thought at worst it might be early stages of whooping cough!!
But recovery 'thankfully' was quick... And his brothers were so excited to see him when they came in to hospital the following afternoon after school...

Finally it was concluded that bubby had a 'bad case' of Bronchilitis... and we were given the all clear to go home about an hour after the boys and Justin had left... so back they came and picked us up!!! 4 days later whilst Mathew isn't 100% better we do have a gorgeous happy baby back.... Oh the dramas... and now I feel as though I am getting a sore throat!! Just my luck!

Oh and about these photos.. Cause we were out and about last weekend I had the camera in the pram still... so scrapper me 'just had to' get some hospital pics ... but only once I knew he was getting better...And finally - a family photo from ourwhen we were out and about on the weekend... Us at Watsons Bay on Sunday...
