We have a WINNER...

Our Slice of Life Competition has come to a close at Enchanted Scrapbooking... and to say the least it was an enormously hard to pick a winner.. were so many awesome enteries week after week... but we only had one Making Memories Slice so there could 'unfortuately' only be one winner... and the winner is KirstyP... every week her layouts were great... she interpreted the challenges excellently... and I would personally like to say....

Congratulations Kirsty

RSVP Virus...

After getting out of hospital last week Mathew was doing really well but then at the beginning of the week he started coughing and went down hill... so back to Emergency we went... and straight through to the doctors. He was put on oxygen as his oxygen satuation levels were well down... and then we were admitted... After a not so nice nasal test it was found that Mathew had the RSVP virus... a typically 'not bad' virus for older people... but one that loves knocking around infants and one that can weaken the lungs (so now we have to keep an eye on him in case he developes asthma in the future)... and for most of our stay Mathew was a sick little boy... BUT .... like all virus' he suddenly got better and one started wondering 'why' we were still there???

Well little man DIDN'T want any fluids so our stay was even longer... we were not going home until he started drinking again... little rat bag... Finally and Thankfully he decided that he was thirsty and started drinking ... right in front of the doctors (this made mummy very happy!!) and home we came... YAY.....

So I am behind with my scrapping...

At Enchanted ... our Slice of Life competition came to an end... WOW... some of the layouts the girls have done are wonderful... how a winner will be decided I have NO idea????

Cheerio..

hopefully some layouts to share next time...

Some Scrapping...

This Queens Birthday Long Weekend was pretty non-eventful... after our scare last week we decided to have a quiet weekend at home, especially as we are going away next weekend, we wanted to give Mathew a good opportunity to recover and get well... So the quiet weekend had me busy scrapping. I didn't get as much as wanted to done... but nevermind. Scrapping around 3 kids, one whom is sick, and a husband can be hard work, especially considering I have to work on the kitchen table... everything is constantly being packed away/gotten out/packed away... but I did manage to finish these two layouts... Both of which I am very happy with.

This layout is one of two layouts I managed with our Enchanted Fairy Fun Pack... Tweet Fairytale...
This layout I did for our June Product/Technique challenge... this challenge required us to get messy... using glimmermist or watered down paint... Had lots of fun and made messy.. in fact I stained the white bricks outside with the mist... Hubby isn't too happy about it... but I thought surely it would rain and wash it away... But NO the first weekend with NO rain... Typical!!!
Close up picture of the journalling... inspired by our nightly I LOVE You sleep tight messages after I have tucked the boys away... we are constantly trying to out do each other with amounts of how much we love each other....
Thanks for looking.

What a week...???

This past week has been busy... but not in the delightful kind of way you would prefer to be busy... Poor baby Mathew ended up in Hospital overnight....

He hadn't been 100% for some days and then Sunday night he screamed a lot of the night... and on Monday slept a lot of the day... THEN on Monday night... he screamed and cried MOST of the night and by morning was so exhausted he went into a very deep drowsy sleep... so it was time to take the little man to the doctors... After dropping the two boys at daycare and school I made the appointment. The doctor saw us promptly and then after listening to his lungs told me to take him to the hospital... so with the secret doctor code letter I set off... never expecting what was coming...

Upon arrival at the hospital the triage nurse checked Mathew out and noticed a few petiki-eye spots (** a minute spot.. not visible to an untrained unexpecting eye!!) and whisked him off through those emergency doors... By the time I got to the cubical there was a large number of doctors and nurses all surrounding him... putting a drip in, oxygen on, tube down nose... and searching for more of those petiki-eye spots... AS you can imagine I was a little taken aback!! Especially when they told me that they were looking and treating him with hardcore antibiotics for menigiccocal or meningitis... I was feeling a little terrible and a little overwhelmed... He never appeared THAT sick.. I thought at worst it might be early stages of whooping cough!!
But recovery 'thankfully' was quick... And his brothers were so excited to see him when they came in to hospital the following afternoon after school...

Finally it was concluded that bubby had a 'bad case' of Bronchilitis... and we were given the all clear to go home about an hour after the boys and Justin had left... so back they came and picked us up!!! 4 days later whilst Mathew isn't 100% better we do have a gorgeous happy baby back.... Oh the dramas... and now I feel as though I am getting a sore throat!! Just my luck!

Oh and about these photos.. Cause we were out and about last weekend I had the camera in the pram still... so scrapper me 'just had to' get some hospital pics ... but only once I knew he was getting better...And finally - a family photo from ourwhen we were out and about on the weekend... Us at Watsons Bay on Sunday...

Enchanted's Cybercrop weekend

& Nan and Pop visit....

This past weekend we have been so busy... or did it just seem that way cause of the extra two people in this tiny house... it is amazing how this small house, when over full life seems so more exhausting. We had a great weekend... and the kids were stoked to see Nan and Poppy again.

And at Enchanted we had our May Cybercrop... which was great... the challenges were great, and the layouts that the scrapping girls submitted were fantastic. Here are mine...
Challenge 1 - Two different sized photos, 3 different types of flowers and green on the layout... and I used our Tweet Fairytale pack for this particular layout. Challenge 2: Everyone had to scraplift MY Regal Delight layout. Was a bit embarrassed as the photo ended up with an area that didn't have any ink on it... and Justin wasn't letting me reprint the photo so I had to cover it up... which wasn't part of my layouts plan... but it turned out cute.. and Mathew looks so gorgeous... this photo was taken just after Mathew started sitting up and his first time 'discovering' leafs, sticks and dirt!!

My Footy Hero

This morning we went to Footy (Rugby League Footy) in dismal rain... but we have been told by Big Gun Coach Pat (Aidan plays for the Coogee Dolphin Big Guns!! LOL) that Footy players need to be tough and so do the parents... so with rain coats and umbrellas we headed off to Malabar to play Footy... thankfully as the morning went on the weather improved!
The boys in their new Coogee Dolphin jersey's

Aidan My Footy Hero!!
Jokingly we had stated the week before after Aidan's dismal game that we should have given him some Coke before we left home... well this week Justin gave Aidan a glass of Coke... and it did the trick... the sugar rush and the excitment of finally getting his Coogee Dolphins jersey combined to make one great little Footy player... he was totally into it... tackling, running and he even Scored a TRY... well done Aidan.. the enjoyment, excitement and happiness for the game multiplied by 100x and I think he is now well and trully hooked...
On the otherhand... the boy who's DNA is made up partly of Footy... was SOOO sad when he discovered he couldn't play...
(he misses out by 6 weeks... yep he is too young by 6 weeks.. and therefore cant register) he was gutted... and he even had a jersey given to him too by one of Aidan's school friends mum's ... so he completely didn't understand why he couldn't play.. my poor little precious... at least he got to train with the team before the match... I can see tears like this every Sunday hereafter.. until next year at least!!!
So despite the terrible start with the weather we ended up having a great little morning at Footy... Aidan raced home to phone Poppy and tell him about his TRY and we are REALLY looking forward to next Sunday now.
